"When a hero is absent, you know he is training to come back stronger!" With Program Coffee, it is no different. In these two months, we have been working hard on our first Marketplace Platform (name to be disclosed soon).
What Marketplace and Why?
What: A Marketplace to connect businesses to the RIGHT suppliers, for the RIGHT products
Why: Solve the Bureaucracy of Supplying Goods from abroad, while lowering carbon footprint of products.
The idea is simple: Connect suppliers to businesses and provide them with the best match of Import-export products as well as provide support for the contracts and deals for their entire Supply-Chain Lifecycle.
The selection of results for any product or service search will be tailored by Artificial Intelligence and customized for each profile, to bring not only the best products and suppliers but also the best savings!
And what are the benefits?
Lower Carbon Footprint for products (Why ship from the other side of the Globe if you can pay the same from your neighbor?)
Connect and Help Local and Small Businesses (No demand is too small. We will show it all, if it matches and is the best, it'll be there!)
Selection of Products by Criteria (Our users will command their search, not us!)
Lower Gross Price per order and contract (by enabling clients to see much broader range of suppliers)
Provide Customs and Legal Support (Pool of Specialists for each Country and Product Type)
In summary, the platform will work as your Customs and Goods Broker, and providing a much larger pool of products and services compared to working with independent brokers.
The Platform will start small, in a niche field (Coffee!) well documented and with easy metrics. From there, once the PaaS is tested and proven, we will grow exponentially to other types of products. Our main market area is The Americas, and as we grow, we will expand.
Coffee also happens to be one of my side passions and knowledge fields. Coffee trades are well regulated and a aways growing market in North America. As a Brazilian/Canadian, I have easy access to both suppliers and consumers for Coffee Beans, making it a perfect choice to test this platform.
The Marketplace platform is under development and will be ready to test soon, but to have a glimpse on the progress, here we can take a look on it:
Example Scenario 1: Company A wants to renew their contract of supply with Company B, but the parts they supply with Company B are currently on a low availability (low raw-material available) and Company B can only supply 40% of the demand. Company A knows that the disruption in raw-material sourcing must have affected other Companies in the region of Company B and their broker only works with that area. Company A decided to find the best alternatives and check our Marketplace (name to be disclosed soon), and finds Suppliers much closer, with final Gross Price per order much lower than what Company B offers. Company A now has alternative suppliers and better prices, with lower Carbon Footprint. Not only that, now they have a network of suppliers sorted by their criteria depending on their constraints, being Time, Product Specification, Price and much more.
